OBJECTIVES
Graduate degree chemist with extensive laboratory experience and strong theoretical knowledge seeking a career as a chemist or scientist in an R&D environment.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
8–10 years of experience working in the chemical laboratory using both wet and dry lab techniques.
Hands-on experience using various scientific instruments including the spectroscopy techniques (UV-VIS-NIR, FT-IR, and spectrofluorimetry), chromatography techniques (GC, GC-MS, HPLC), X-ray techniques (XRD, XRF), and microscopy (SEM).
Hands-on experience with various laboratory and pilot-plant equipment including flow controllers, sensors, heaters, reactors, and gas lines.
Excellent written and oral skills. Experience reading, writing, editing, and reviewing scientific material as well as presenting these to professional and corporate audiences.
Strong math, statistical, and spreadsheet skills. Knowledgeable of design of experiments (DoE) methodologies.
Ability to draw conclusions from experimental data and propose future steps inline with corporate goals.
Ability to work well in cross-functional teams of scientists, engineers, technicians, and non-technical staff.
Knowledgeable of chemical safety and hazards. Experience working with hazardous chemicals while complying with the appropriate safety standards.
Strong theoretical knowledge in chemistry, materials, processes, and physics.
US citizen (eligible to work), single, willing to relocate.
